22 September is the first day of fall!
Autumn evokes crunchy leaves, cosy sweaters and hot drinks, but it’s also a time of change. Children return to school, people start counting down the days until Christmas, we trade swimsuits for scarves, and in general get ready for the seasons of hygge and excesses of food.
This month, let’s see if we can coordinate somewhat. We’re going to write about two opposing themes: green and yellow. Some of you can write about one, and some can write about the other.
You can take your theme at face value – the green of the outdoor setting, the yellow dress your character wears – or not. Green can mean new or inexperienced; it’s the color of envy and money. While yellow is cowardice or sensationalism; sunlight and thin, aged paper. Yellow flowers attract the bees, but green leaves will turn yellow with time.
So choose one – green or yellow – and comment below with the color you’ve chosen. If you see most people have chosen one, choose the other.
At the end of the month, we’ll see which color “wins”.
Green

I’ve chosen yellow!
